Infinite
She woke up to a whole new morning, her big brown eyes seeing a whole new day ahead of her, waiting for her to make something out of it. The trees green with plush leaves and birds. The grass thick and soft waiting for someone to lay in its safe arms. The sun beating down awakening the world, being its own alarm clock. A slight breeze rolling through the air sending shivers down the spine. She got out of bed opening the curtains, inviting in the beauty surrounding her. She put on her favorite jean shorts, a belt, sneakers and t-shirt. Her long wavy hair fell out of the pony tail hitting her shoulders and her bosom, bouncy with life. She put on some mascara but that was it, because that's all she needed. She didn't need to carry a purse because she didn't need money or anything to make this day a good one. It was 9 am, the best time of day. She grabbed her keys, an ice cold water bottle, and her huge sunglasses that made her look like a rock star. She got in her car, opened the sun roof and all the other windows. She put the key in the ignition, her favorite CD in the player, and her sunglasses on. Nothing could stop her from having a great day. She drove to his house, knocked on the door and saw that he was already dressed in his shorts, v neck and flip flops. She grabbed his arm and pulled him to the car. She opened the center console and took out a pair of his sunglasses, put them on his face, and placed a kiss on his left cheek. No words were spoken, none needed to be. She drove for a a few minutes while he sat in the passenger seat and adored her. The way her brown, wavy curls befriended the wind and cleared from her face. The way that she wore little makeup or jewelry and still looked like a goddess. The sun bounced off of her legs and arms and hit her face just the right way, highlighting her cheek bones and her perfect lips. She looked like she had the world in the palm of her hands, and he admired her. She pulled into the dirt parking lot, turned the engine off, but left the music on. She leaned her chair back so that the sunlight beaming in from the sunroof hit her face. She looked over at him and he did the same. He reached over and interlocked his fingers with hers. And just like she had expected, this day was perfect, and no one could come in between them at that moment in time.
He got out of the car and opened her door, picked her up, and with her in his arms walked away from the car, past the baseball fields, and towards the swing set. He set her down on a swing and walked away toward the bushy field that swallowed them. He picked one daisy, put it in her hair, and gave her a kiss. He sat on the swing next to her.
"I love you" she said. And he just smiled.
