She set the last rose petal in place, and picked up the box of matches. She lit a few candles and turned off the light. She clicked on the radio and set the volume down low. The room was filled with a dim, flickering candle light and the soft, sensual voice of Frank Sinatra. She slipped off all of her clothes and put on one of his button up shirts and a pair of sexy underwear. She laid down on the bed that was covered in rose petals and sipped some wine. She heard the front door open and her heart started racing. He opened the bedroom door and his eyes popped. He dropped his suitcase on the floor and took off his jacked. She crawled to the end of the bed and pulled him in by his tie. He kissed her and and ran his fingers through her soft, wavy hair.
"I love you." She said.
He got off the bed and turned towards the door.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
He walked out of the room and slammed the door. She jumped up and ran out following him. She ran down the stairs, turned the corner toward the kitchen and stopped short. There he was standing with roses in his hand and a full meal cooked and laid out proudly on the dinner table. He handed her the roses as she stood there with her jaw on the floor. She smelled the flowers and noticed something, she looked at the middle rose of the bouquet and saw that it was glistening She took the rose out and noticed that under one of the petals was a diamond ring. She went to look at Jack but he was kneeling on the floor. She couldn't breathe.
"Marissa, happy anniversary. Will you spend a million more with me as my wife?"
She began to cry and dropped down on her knees. She grabbed his face and gave him a kiss.
"Yes" she whispered into his ear.
He grabbed her and picked her up, kissed her and smiled.
"Would you like to start with dinner or dessert?" she asked with a smile on her face.
He smirked, and carried her upstairs.
